Our photos couldn't do it justice.
It is pleasingly larger than most similar style watches from the era - it measures 35.5mm without the crown - nearly the same size as a mens Rolex Datejust.
And though most non-round watches are fitted with handwound movements, this model has Omega's fine automatic, 24 jewel caliber 711 movement that was adjusted to two positions and it still allows the case to maintain a thin profile.
The 700 series has a direct lineage with the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly. The series ended the 500/700 family of movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. They were one of the finest mass produced movements from the era.
It is fully Omega down to the hands and winding crown and has just finished being restored with a true expertly done restoration. It presents as about a 9.7 out of 10 condition. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It is running amazingly accurately, keeping time like a brand new Omega in our testing position and is very clean.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to it performance.
